SP-994 – With all new sound quality
When a lot of technological changes have taken place in a device and a sound advancement can immediately be perceived, then it is also a time to give the device a new name. This is how Vincent SP- 994 came into being; and not just by changing the nuances of the SP-993 version, but as a stereo power amplifier with a new sound dimension and a distinctly better output.
But what is now different?
This can quite simply be noticed in the output data: from 200 watt at 8 Ohm and 400 watt at 4 Ohm per channel in SP-993, the potential sine-output that will be delivered by SP-994 has increased to 300 watts at 8 Ohm and 600 watts at 4 Ohm respectively- a progression that makes this power amplifier even easier to handle with almost every speaker and provides more tranquil and stable acoustics. Through the potential Class A output of up to 60 watts at 8 Ohm, the high resolution has once again been distinctly improved. This function of Class-A operation/process can be switched on and off through a switch on the front panel.
SP-994 – very distinct and clear!
Even if one fails to notice in the first look, in comparison to the earlier SP-993 model, the entire circuit of SP-994 has once again been reengineered. This primarily includes the circuit design and the optimization of components to guarantee an optimum signal flow. The result is a clearly improved resolution and space scaling by minimizing interfering voltage and perturbation. The latest circuit technology like the advanced AMP module from Vincent, as well as the DC server unit is combined with a fully symmetrical amplifier structure. The connectivity option whether symmetrical or asymmetrical can be selected from the front panel. In each case, the signal is taken from the FET differential- input amplifier and reaches in the most direct way to the 16 power transistors of the output. This task of amplifying the signal is then supported by 6000uF electrolytic capacitor per channel. This dimensioning provides sufficient power in each case. Constancy in impulse and speed in distributing signal are other clearly audible results of these changes.
